72 hour kit- How much money?
Hi Everyone:
In case of emergency it is always a good idea to have a 72 hour kit. I know the basic supplies (IM an EMT and CERT (Community emergenm cy respoinse team) active member. But my question is – How much cash should you save up to keep in the kit? Im getting people tell me 50 bucks a person, to 400 bucks a person. What is good – for just one person (me)?
If you are going to hunker down at home zero might be enough. If you are planning to drive and credit cards might not work take enough cash for 3 tanks of gas and 2 nights in a motel and 9 meals in restaurants. By then the credit cards and ATM cards will work because you will have traveled over 1000 miles.
