Traveling into the wild?
I was wanting to pull an “Into the Wild”
Or if you haven’t read the book, I want to travel into the wilderness with just the necessary supplies for survival, and spend long periods of time there.
I was going to take some time practicing deep in south georgia.
What I ask from you all is…
What supplies do you think I’ll need?
What literature do you suggest I read?(Link or Book/Article)
What are some good areas to do this?
What are some necessary skills?
I will be traveling with a good friend of mine during this, should we each learn a set of skills or both learn all those necessary?
Any recommend gear?
If there is any advice you all have to offer I appreciate it.

PS: I do understand this is dangerous.
the pacific northwest is perfect for this. take a backpack of clothes for all conditions and a journal. a camera and binoculars would be nice if you have the room. basic boy scout skills would be good to have. dont forget some matches and a hatchet. have fun!
